Harald O. Heymann, D.D.S., M.Ed.
Dr. Heymann is Professor in Operative Dentistry at the UNC School of Dentistry. He is a Fellow in the ICD, ACD, Academy of Dental Materials, and is a Fellow and Past-President of the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry. He is the author of over 185 scientific publications, has given over 1,200 lectures worldwide, is Editor-in-chief of the Journal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry, and has received the Gordon J. Christensen Award for excellence as a CE speaker.
Gavin C. Heymann, DDS, MS
Dr. Heymann earned his DDS and MS in Orthodontics at the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry. He received the Kramer Award of excellence and was elected as an alumni member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon. He was the recipient of the American College of Dentists Leadership Award, and was a Thomas P. Hinman scholar. His research interests are in the areas of temporary anchorage devices in orthodontics, novel treatment techniques for management of pre-adolescent Class III patients, applications of 3D imaging, and interdisciplinary treatment. Dr. Heymann has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications, serves as a guest reviewer for both orthodontic and dental journals, and has lectured to orthodontic and dental audiences alike. He maintains a private orthodontic practice in Chapel Hill and Durham, NC. |
